Recently I had the privilege of reading this amazing book by Isabella May. What a treat for me and I must say I wasn’t disappointed!
The Blurb
Kate Clothier is leading a double life: a successful jet-setting businesswoman to the outside world, but behind closed doors, life with Daniel and his volcanic temper is anything but rosy.
Some days – heck, make that EVERY day – cake is her only salvation.
Slowly but surely, the cities she visits – and the men she meets – help her to realise there IS a better future.
And the ley lines of Glastonbury are certainly doing their best to impart their mystical wisdom…
But will she escape before it’s too late?
My Review
Isabella has an amazing writing style. I could tell that the day I read her guest post here on my blog, which made me more eager to read her novel. It definitely didn’t disappoint! It’s a story filled with interesting characters, hard topics, delicious food and exotic locations.
This book sheds light on the gut wrenching topic of domestic abuse in a way that draws you into the whirlwind that is Kates’ life. I loved the fact that Kate herself is flawed and far from perfect, which made her relatable and had you wanting to drop some sense into her a few times.
This really is a great read that will keep you glued as it twists and turns and takes you on an amazing adventure!
